New cases of Coronavirus in India are still above 2.5 lakhs. However, some decrease has been seen in new cases compared to Thursday. According to the data released on Friday, 2,51,209 new COVID-19 cases have been registered during the last 24 hours across the country. This figure is 12 percent less than the new cases reported on Thursday. Yesterday, 2,86,384 cases of infection were reported. The Health Ministry said today that in the last 24 hours, 627 patients have lost their lives due to infection. So far 4,92,327 people have lost their lives due to Corona in the country. During the last 24 hours, active cases have also come down due to more number of patients recovering than new cases. At present, 21,05,611 patients are undergoing treatment for corona in the country. Active cases are 5.18 percent of the total cases. The recovery rate is at 93.60 percent. 3,47,443 patients have been cured in a day, which is a matter of relief, so far 3,80,24,771 people have been able to beat the infection by fighting it. Currently, the daily infection rate is 15.88 percent while the weekly infection rate is 17.47 percent. So far 72.37 crore corona tests have been done in the country, which includes 15,82,307 tests in the last 24 hours.
