Seeing her house flourishing, old lady Sona used to breathe a sigh of contentment. What did he need? He had a prosperous house, ten children, many sons and daughters, everything he wanted. One day a special festival was organized, the old householders sitting quietly in the gusts of cool wind were absorbed in some thoughts. Sona said seriously to the householder - " Aryaputra! The eldest bride needs some clothes and ornaments. "The householder was distracted. He said - "Tell the son, he will bring it."
"No, you bring it. It does not seem appropriate to me that he should worry about food and clothes while we are there. ,
"But gold! It has been twenty-two years today, apart from these two ordinary clothes, something else should be brought for your body, is it not appropriate? You have raised them by raising them, now be rest assured. ' said the homeowner explaining. Old lady Sona understood that her husband seems to have become more frugal due to very old age. He requested more. Sometimes there was a demand for clothes, sometimes jewellery. The sons used to keep quiet, thinking that as long as the father is running the household, then he should enjoy it.
One day, getting fed up, the grihapati said - "It's enough gold now! I can't see it all. "Sona was also a little irritated, because of her she could not fulfill the wish of Hemahar of the younger bride. He said - "What will you do then? ,
"I'll go somewhere. ,
Hearing this, Sona did not celebrate him as usual. One day will come when I will not be there, then you all will understand Sona! And you will cry crying to me. Hearing such things regularly, Sona was engrossed in sons and grandsons. In such a situation, the householder became unhappy and left the house.
Born in the noble family of Shravasti, Sona, who lived in a high family, saw that the evening came, even the night passed, but her husband did not return everything in life. He told the sons. The sons searched here and there. Did not know
How much time passed by doing one or two days. Sona used to remain silent in her room. One day she came to know that her husband renounced worldly illusions and went to the shelter of Triratna.
Shedding tears in tears, Sona had become weak. He divided all his wealth among the sons. Everyone got freedom. The brides asked for food and drink for a few days. Then she started thinking that the old lady eats while sitting and she does the work herself? In selfishness, he felt like a gold load. Bahuputika Sona, who sacrificed everything for the fulfillment of the wishes of sons, sons and brides, started getting disrespected every step of the way. Brides used to slander their mother-in-law while talking to their husbands, due to which they also started neglecting their mother-in-law. No one asked Sona, who was hungry and thirsty for many days, even if the slaves and maidservants had ever listened to her whole thing, even if she said, she did not work. She would remember her husband's statement from the humiliation of Nitya - "When I am gone, you will understand Sona."
The weak Sona, covered in corroded clothes, got imprisoned in the bhikkhuni-sangha, but again and again she remembered the smiling faces of the grandchildren and there used to be delusion and unrest in the mind.
After listening and meditating on the nectarine teachings, he did hard sadhna. She was also successful in her sadhana. Lord Mahakarunik also praised his sadhana and bestowed him with the position of a leader among the steadfastly persevering bhikkhunis. Sona was grateful. He attained the rank of merit.
Observing his life, Bhikkhuni Sona has said in a saga form -
“She went to be a bhikkhuni in a chronic debilitated condition. After listening to the sermon, he got his hair cut and took Pravrajya. Having attained liberation and becoming unattached, I have entered nirvana. Now I will not be reborn, I have cut the root of the five skandhas.
