Mahatma Gandhi is known as a priest of non-violence. Like him, there was another great leader and freedom fighter who followed the path of non-violence as a weapon to oppose it, he is also known by the nicknames 'Frontier Gandhi', 'Bachha Khan' and 'Badshah Khan'. He was a great leader and he also fought against the British for the independence of India. Known as 'Frontier Gandhi' i.e. Frontier Gandhi, the full name of this person was 'Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan.
He made a mark as a religious and political leader. Like Mahatma Gandhi, he also considered the path of protest through non-violence as supreme. He knew very well that religious unity was very important to organize, so he read the scriptures of the Sikh Gurus and studied the Gita in jail. Considering Hindu-Muslim unity as necessary, he conducted classes on Gita and Quran in Gujarat jail.
Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan started the Khudai Khidmatgar (Servants of God) movement. The Khudai Khidmatgar movement was inspired by Gandhi's non-violent movement. The British were stunned by the success of this movement. This frontier Gandhi made non-violence a weapon to take on the British and kept the British in their nose. He said that "It is the promise of every Khudai Khidmatgar that we are God's servants, we do not appreciate wealth or death."
When Abdul Ghaffar Khan was arrested and sent to jail by the British, there were protests in Peshawar's Kisa Khwani Bazaar on the very day of his arrest. The British ordered these unarmed people to fire with machine guns. Hundreds of people died in this massacre.
