On the one hand, where the blood of the youth was pouring out for freedom, during that time a brave 80-year-old landlord who, regardless of his age, took up the sword against the British power, denying his pride. When Babu Kunwar Singh, full of enthusiasm, went to war with his sharp sword, fear spread among the opposing English army. The British were afraid of him till his death due to his efficient leadership and fighting skills. In the revolt of 1857, when Meerut, Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Jhansi and Delhi saw the light of independence. At the same time, Veer Kunwar Singh, along with his army, expelled the British army from a large area from Ara in Bihar to Azamgarh, Banaras, Ballia, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur and Rewa of Madhya Pradesh in Uttar Pradesh.
The bravery and patriotism of 80-year-old Kunwar Singh can be gauged from this incident. Once when he was crossing the Ganges on the border of Bihar and UP, the bullet of the British hit him in the arm. Then he said that "neither I like the British in my motherland nor their bullet in my body" and Kunwar Singh immediately cut off his hand and dedicated it to the Ganges.
Even at this age, with a body full of wounds, Kunwar Singh bravely fought with the British. Imagine an elderly landowner who could rest in his splendid palace but had such patriotism in him that he renounced his luxuries and went into the fight for freedom and fought tirelessly to defend his motherland from the British. Keep fighting
