1. Mahatma Phule's full name was Jyotirao Govindrao Phule and Bahujan society gave him the title of Father of the Nation. Mahatma Phule was born on 11 April 1827 in Pune, India.


2. Mahatma Jyotirao Phule's family used to work for flowers when Jyotiba was only 1 year old when her mother died.


3. Friends, Jyotiba Phule missed studying in Marathi for some time and later completed seventh grade of English at the age of 21.


4. Jyotiba Phule was married in the year 1840 to Savitribai, who was the first female teacher of modern India.


 5. He opened a school in 1854 to improve the condition of women and to give them recognition in society. This school was the first such school in the country to be opened for girls.


6. Friends, the next fact is as follows, Jyotiba founded the Satyashodhak Samaj to provide justice to the poor and the poor. Impressed by his social service, a meeting in Mumbai in 1888 conferred him the title of Mahatma.


7. Jyotiba started the marriage ceremony without a Brahmin priest and it was also recognized by the Mumbai High Court and Mahatma Phule was an anti-child marriage and widow marriage supporter.


8. During his lifetime, he also wrote many books that are named Ratan, Chhatrapati Shivaji, Tact of Brahmins, Koda of Kisan, and Kaifiyat of untouchables, etc.


9. Friends, due to the struggle of Mahatma Phule and his organization, the government passed the Agriculture Act.


10. Friends, Mahatma Phule used the word Dalit for the first time. Mahatma Phule gave up his life in Pune on 28 November 1890 at the age of 30.
