Her husband, the pride of her life, was swinging in the throes of life and death. A storm of worries was thrashing her husband to death. His little innocent children were moaning sitting in that shadow of death. She was the wife of a very sick husband and mother of innocent children. Seeing everything, her woman's heart cried, but in that sorrow she remembered the teachings of God, she had unshakable devotion to the three jewel. Her name was "Nakula - Mother". ,
Nakula - Mother sat near her husband's bed and with her soft hands began to touch his expansive head. Her worried husband opened his eyes and took her in his emaciated hands. His voice was - Nakula - Mother! I couldn't give you any happiness. These little kids are still innocent. How will they be followed? I don't have enough money to be sure. ,
Remembering the nectar of the Triratna, he replied in a solemn voice – “My life is everything! Do not be sad thinking of these worldly things. I will spin yarn with a charkha, prepare wool and sell them to support myself and these children. I will never let them go hungry. Don't you worry ,
Her husband got some satisfaction but he thought that it is easy to ask for some work but it is equally difficult to follow it. Therefore he said- "If you understand the need for remarriage, then it is yours to take care of the children as well. ,
Woman's femininity woke up. Nakula - Mother said with the same courage - " Swami! Despite being in a household for sixteen years, I took care of celibacy and observed Uposatha fast. Will I get married again if you are not there? this is impossible . The life of a noble woman is like a wooden hand. The wooden pot goes on fire only once. Even a noble woman marries only once. ,
Her husband listened, understood something, yet said - " - "Shubhe! Even if I am not in this world, you should keep your mind in listening to the sermon. Keep following the rules and don't be weeping in the separation of your husband otherwise." These children will die without being killed."
Sheelavati Upasika Nakula - Mother also calmly resolved this doubt of her husband. She said- "My lord! I will go all my life to hear the teachings of the great Lord Tathagata and the holy Bhikkhu Sangha. I am one of the Shilavati worshippers. Therefore, I will always follow all the precepts. I am also a samadhivati worshiper. It is well known to you that there is no joy or sorrow in birth and death in the eternal bliss of samadhi. Therefore, completely remove the worry of your mind that this sevika (wife) will hurt the children by crying. May you keep the mind free from doubts and fleeting worldliness. This is my only prayer to you. ,
The grihapati remembered with respect the true services of his learned wife Nakula-Mother. He understood his true love, all his worries went away.
The disease was simple to the householder, but the helpless wife, innocent children, the concerns of the family's happiness and poverty had started pushing him towards death. He was greatly relieved by the serious talk of his wife. Realizing her qualities, he considered himself to be proud to be the husband of such a beautiful wife.
Devoted worshiper Nakula - in the true services of the mother and due to the removal of worries Nakula - the mother's husband gradually became free from disease. In this happiness, one day he went to see Lord Tathagata. In those days Lord (Tathagata Samyak Sambuddha) was residing in Shishumara Giri of Bharga country. Worshiping the Lord, he sat down on one side. Lord Karunanidhi blessed him and said - "Grihapati! You are very proud. You have got Nakula-Mother as husband, Parayana, Sugrahani, modesty and Samadhivati worshiper in the form of wife. She is one of the best worshipers. Such a housewife should not be hurt. Always keep an eye on it."
The householder was proud of his wife. Truly that worshiper Nakula-Mother was blessed. Whom Lord Buddha himself praised by praising him.
