Today it may seem unimaginable even to think, but the passion for freedom was such that children, old and young, all with equal enthusiasm were going out with their lives on their palms. Gaidinliu, a 13-year-old tribal girl in the Naga region of far northeastern India, not only left her childhood and entered the fight against the British, but very soon started leading this fight in the entire region. At the age of 13, nowadays children are generally busy with their school life in studies, writing and sports with friends. But at this age, Gaidinliu had so much passion and passion for his society and country that he became a revolutionary.
Gaidinliu, along with his cousin, decided to join the Heraka movement. The Heraka movement was launched to reform the Naga community. Later this religious movement turned into a political movement. The main reason for this was the atrocities committed by the British on the Nagas. Its only objective became the overthrow of British colonialism from Manipur and the Naga populated area. To suppress the movement run by Gaidinliu, the British burnt many villages there. But they could not dampen the enthusiasm of the tribals. Changing places, launching a guerilla attack on the British army, Gaidinliu decided to build a fort in which four thousand of his companions could live. While the work was going on, the British army suddenly attacked. Gaidinliu was arrested. He was tried and sentenced to life imprisonment. When Nehru came to meet her in jail, inspired by her courage and courage, he gave her the title of 'Rani'.
