Eid al-Fitr

Eid is a sacred celebration in which Muslims gather and embrace each other with promises of charity, kindness, harmony and brotherhood. This festival is not about happiness but about making others happy and taking care of their desires. The Muslim community from all over the world is showing gratitude to God for everything that He possesses. There are two kinds of feast that are celebrated all over the world with great zeal and fun. The first: Eid al-Fitr, and the end of Eid al-Adha. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan (Ramjan) when Muslims break their fast, while Eid al-Adha honors the end of the Hajj season. Both are celebrated by Muslims around the world.

On the day of the celebration, Muslims give gifts to the needy and celebrate them with great interest and joy. Moreover, they gather in the hundreds at places like the Jama Masjid for prayer.

Eid customs and celebrations

Muslims help needy with food or clothes on the happy Eid day. Some donate money called Zakat al-Fitr and believe that it is an obligation for every pious Muslim during Ramadan. Muslims wake up early and break their fast with certain appointments. However, what adds charm to this celebration is the beautiful new clothes purchased specially for Salah's attendance. During that time, clothing stores that focused on holiday goods remained packed with customers. Additionally, the websites facilitate shopping for customers looking for clothes on such occasions.

Eid wear for men includes Kurta Pajama, Mojri, Taqiyah and many more while for women - Salwar, Lehenga Choli, Kameez and patterned hijab. Whoever does not give alms can donate food to those in need. It is a major feature in celebrating Eid and there is a desert called Sivai which is made on this day for visitors.

Eid celebrations in the modern era

It is a time to meet the dearest and celebrate it by exchanging greetings and gifts. In memory of the ancestors, people visit the tombs called Ziyazrat Al kub'r. Every Muslim cleans their home and puts on the best clothes and jewelry to make this joy festival more attractive. Children receive "Eid" as a gift from their family members.

It is a time of fun and celebrations, but while you are having fun you often forget the essence of the occasion. God makes you realize that people should not stop anyone in need, as during Eid, when Muslims fast, sacrificing hunger and longing for water
