Madan Lal Dhingra, who became the source of inspiration for Shaheed-e-Azam like Bhagat Singh and became a guide for revolutionaries like Udham Singh, when the British Intelligence Police Chief Colonel Wylie was firing bullets in England, the young revolutionaries of the country were impressed by him. Started dreaming of freedom.
Even if Madan Lal Dhingra wanted, he could have lived a life of ash-o-comfort like his brothers. But since college days, the spirit of Swaraj had come in his mind. In his student life, he had burnt his coat made of British cloth, his move instilled a sense of swadeshi among other students as well. The college administration took action against him, expelled him from the college but he remained adamant about Swadeshi. After this his elder brother sent him to London for studies.
There was a place in London named "India House". India House was the haven of patriotic Indian youth who wanted to free their country from the captivity of the British. Impressed by the ideology here, Madan Lal resolved to stay with the Indian students in India House. The British started conveying the news of Madan Lal's growing activities in India House to his father. This angered his father very much. He wrote many letters preaching to his son, but Madan Lal did not waver from his path.
On the evening of July 01, 1909, a large number of Indians and British gathered to participate in the annual function of the Indian National Association. It also included Curzon Wyllie. Curzon was so proud that he was called the "Eye of the Empire" in Asia. During the program Madanlal Curzon approached Wylie on the pretext of talking to him about something special and shot him. Now Madanlal put the gun on his forehead to kill himself too but the bullets were over. He was arrested and hanged at the age of 26.
